What A Few Patients Have Said About Their Results
We recently completed a round of Gyrostim treatments for our 3 year old son. He was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and is considered level 2 or moderate. Markus and his team are wonderful to work with from scheduling to being creative in keeping our son motivated. We have seen some significant changes in our son’s speech, affection, responsiveness, and even some sensory improvement. – Amanda
During GyroStim training my brain worked at levels I had never touched before; I noticed gains after my first session. Before GyroStim I felt like I played hockey with my eyes half open, now they are completely open and alert. Also I have more awareness of where I am on the ice, of my teammates and of the play. I take in much more while I am moving. I am finding I can process and then plan for the play before it happens. – Kevin Patterson
If you suffer from neurologic impairment related to an injury or stroke, you must consider GyroStim therapy with CBP-Centers, their staff is wonderful and the treatment can change your life. – Peter Vaughn
My son hugged me for the first time in 14 years after 1 day of treatment. It was a special evening, a special moment I will never forget! – Anonymous

More Information About GyroStim Therapy
What is GyroStim Therapy?
The advanced physical therapy now has a breakthrough brain based therapy known as Gyrostim. Unlike other physical therapies, this is a computer-controlled approach that uses a rotating chair to turn you in two comfortable and safe moves. Based on your condition and physical fitness, our therapist either chooses the pitch or the yaw axis. Sometimes, both axes are selected at the same time to precisely rotate you. Because the therapy is based on rotation, it helps improve brain performance and balance. The primary objective of GyroStim therapy is to boost a your brain’s overall performance and health. We can treat patients with minor to the most severe brain conditions.
The technology behind this patented therapy is based on the brain stimulation approach through neural stimulation and through the improvement of vestibular and visual system. The therapy targets only a few specific regions of the brain. When you undergo GyroStim therapy, the combination of movements helps in brain stimulation and activation of brain’s sensory system to incredibly boost its capacity. We follow a precise and safe protocol to control and facilitate the movement during the rotation. In addition to this therapy, we combine other approaches such as chiropractic, massage therapy and physical therapy. After treatment, you may need to follow a strict exercise schedule designed to support your therapeutic recovery and maximum brain improvement.
How Does It Work?
GyroStim is a powerful, yet simple therapy to treat patients with a neurological disorders or injuries such as Alzheimers or concussions. Because the process is all about movements, it significantly improves the vestibular system through stimulation. Plus, the active brain stimulation points improve your balance, optical health, and spatial orientation and movement. The whole idea behind this therapy is to stimulate the system through compulsive movements in a controlled way. After this therapy, the you might feel the gravity with an improved sense of stimulation.
Watch the GyroStim in Action
This video demonstrates a typical GyroStim therapy session. You are securely strapped into the chair. The rotating motion is not painful nor does it make you dizzy. Watch as this patient is rotated and given tasks to do while rotating in the GyroStim chair.
GyroStim doesn’t treat the symptom like many other passive medicinal and therapeutic approaches. The therapy treats the root cause of each problem. The fully automated and multi-axes chair is the base of this therapeutic approach. People experiencing a wide range of problems and symptoms relevant to the brain can be treated with GyroStim. We treat both young and old who experience a wide array of symptoms due to their conditions or brain concussions.
During the therapy, you sit on the robotically controlled multi-axis chair controlled by computers. Because the therapy involves movements, you are secured with the chair straps before the beginning of the therapy. Once the therapy starts, the chair begins to move in a repeated and a very powerful motion. However, a computer controls the movement and the axes of its movement. The axes and movement speed is selected according to each patient’s motion file. The motion activates the brain’s vestibular and neuro-optical system through deep brain stimulation.
Our therapist monitors your condition during these runs. Also, you are asked to perform certain tasks during the movements. The approach of the therapy slightly varies for each individual depending on their condition and therapeutic needs.
While dealing with their daughter’s cerebral palsy, Maher and his wife Rhonda invented this amazing brain stimulation approach. After a series of therapies and medical treatments, they didn’t find any improvements in their daughter’s condition. When doctors told them that spinning movements can stimulate the vestibular system in her brain, they came up with an exercise plan for their daughter. The routine included three spinning motions per day such as log rolling, somersaults and spins in an office chair. With the stimulation of the vestibular system in her brain, they saw a significant change in her balance and spatial awareness, and a drastic improvement in her motor sensory skills. This is how GyroStim was invented.
Who Is a Candidate for Brain Therapy? What Conditions Are Treated?
GyroStim focuses on three cognitive processes: perceive, process, and reaction. Therefore, this treatment is mainly for people recovering from traumatic brain injury, brain concussion and neurological conditions. This powerful brain stimulation and vestibular therapy cures symptoms and restores vital brain functions. Healthy individuals are also eligible for this therapy. People who want to improve their decision making skills, performance, and brain processing skills can opt for this therapy. A number of individuals who want to excel in sports and in life also choose GyroStim therapies. This therapy, in short, has the flexibility to meet any person’s custom health needs.
Modern clinics that offer advanced therapies using the GyroStim often treat conditions including, concussion, Parkinson’s, stroke, vertigo, and P.O.T.S, developmental learning issues, sports performance enhancements, and depression and anxiety, traumatic brain injury, dementia and Alzheimer’s, headaches and migraines, autism and Asperger’s. The therapy also helps people with insomnia, ADHD and ADD, movement disorders, and eating disorders. People with balance problems and walking disorders can also benefit from GyroStim therapy.
What Does GyroStim Therapy Cost?
The cost of GyroStim therapy depends upon your treatment. GyroStim treatment can cost $2,500 to $6,000 per week. The initial consultation session at our clinic is free of charge. Please contact your insurance provider for coverage details.
How Long Does It Take?
The approach of this therapy is customized for your particular health goals. In most cases, this therapy is administered two times a day over a period of seven days. For some cases, the therapy may continue for months to one year as well. Because the aim of this therapy is to detox the brain, rebuild neurological pathways and help your reconnect with your sensory system, the process often takes a longer time than other similar therapies. Each session lasts for half an hour. You undergo the treatment in the robotically controlled chair.
Is It Painful?
Although the process of GyroStim involves a number of rotations and spins, it is a totally safe and painless process. You are presented with a laser target game while on the chair. Your therapist asks you to use a laser to hit as many targets as they can while in motion. This improves the optical sensor systems and stimulates the brain power. When you hit more targets per session, your ability also improves. You are presented more challenging levels as you go. Your therapist also keeps you engaged with cognitive and memory exercises to stimulate brain function and train the brain. This is how the vestibular system is stimulated. Your interaction between different sensory nervous regions within the brain significantly improves.
