TurningPoint Medical Group provides a range of comprehensive health care services. We opperate as a super clinic health care facility. We have diagnostic capabilities including VNG (videonystogmography), Nuerocomm Computerized Posturography and 24-lead qEEG brain mapping in our office and outsourcing capabilities for laboratory services, x-ray, electro-diagnostics, ultrasound, PET, CT scan, and MRI.

Treatments for brain injury and disease: What sets our brain therapy apart at CBT-Brain Centers is our unique approach in diagnosing the origin of vestibular misalignment through the use of our VNG (videostogmorgraphy) and determining neuro-pathway obstruction through the use of our 24 lead qEEG (GyroStim Performa). We use these tools and their results to customize a specific treatment plan to meet your individual needs. BODY WORKSHOP: Multi-disciplinary Rehabilitation
Treatments for bodily injury and rehabilitation: The Body Workshop leverages multiple therapies to treat injury and disorders. Therapies include physical therapy, massage therapy, and manual therapy. We are better able to coordinate care when all disciplines are under one roof. This is eliminates the need for you, the patient, to visit multiple clinics for treating the same condition.

Markus M. Ernst, PT, OMT (MSc), Certified Sports & Golf Physical Therapist
Markus Ernst is an expert physical therapist with more than 10 years of education in physical therapy. He studied all over Europe including prestigious institutions in the Netherlands. Acting as an expert in his field, Markus travels to Germany annually to instruct local therapists in TMJ treatment and his brain rehabilitation therapy. Markus is an expert in orthopedic manual therapy, TMJ (jaw) treatment and a specialist in brain rehabilitation/concussion therapy. Before relocating to the United States Markus served the German military and represented them as a professional athlete in many marathons and triathlons.
Moving in 2011 to the United States, Markus calls Colorado Springs his new home. In his free time, he enjoys ultrarunning, taking his dogs outdoors, going camping, hiking and fishing among other activities.
Fred J. Stoot PT, FCAMT, FAAMPT
Fred J Stoot is world known physical therapist and graduated PT school 1981 University of Manitoba Fellow of both Canadian and American academies of Orthopedic manual therapy. 36 years of orthopedic experience. Instructor and examiner of orthopedic certification national program in Canada and United States. Fred is an expert in orthopedic manual therapy and manipulative therapy and counts as one of the physical therapists in the Nation. Owner and founder of numerous outpatient clinics in Canada and United States. Extensive sports medicine experience with the NHL Colorado Avalanche, NBA Phoenix Suns and MLB. Founding member of IMPACT, post graduate PT education company.
Fred. moved to USA in 1992 and became an American in 2001. He loves the outdoors. Is an avid biker, runner, fisherman … 3 children Dan, Steven and Jenny Wife Janette and son Dan are also Physical Therapists.
Dr. Renee Johnson, DPT, COMT, Dip. MT, Cert.DN
Renée Johnson is a manual physical therapist and a member of the Physical Therapy & Injury Specialists team since 2016. Renée earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology at the University of Oregon, and achieved her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Oregon’s Pacific University. Renée continues to develop professionally as she completes her manual therapy fellowship with her world-renowned mentors, Gail Molloy, Beverly Parrott, and Fred Stoot, through the Institute of Manipulative Physiotherapy and Clinical Training (IMPACT). Originally a native of Santa Fe, NM, Renee is no stranger to Colorado’s sun and high-altitude. She revels in the endless opportunities the state affords her to enjoy an active lifestyle.
On the weekends you can find Renée running and hiking with her boxer/bulldog named Trigger Point. She has already conquered 10 of our state’s challenging 14ers. She also enjoys snowboarding, practicing yoga and as a former dancer she still takes a modern dance class as often as possible. She remains closely knit in the dance community by offering her unique skill set to treat dancers as well as any and all athletes, never forgetting from where her original PT career inspiration came.
Dr. Kelsy Schoen, DPT
Kelsy Schoen is a physical therapist at TurningPoint Medical Group. She graduated from the University of Kansas Medical Center with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May of 2017. During her education, Kelsy had the opportunity to work in several orthopedic clinics where she developed her manual therapy skills. She also had the opportunity to serve veterans in California at a spinal cord injury rehabilitation center. Kelsy has always had a special interest in the brain and neurology. She is excited to begin her career with TurningPoint Medical Group and their fantastic team!
Kelsy is originally from Manhattan, Kansas. In her free time Kelsy enjoys playing disc golf, cycling, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. Having recently moved to Colorado, she is excited to explore everything the state has to offer!
Holly Snell, PTA
Holly has been with TurningPoint Medical Group since September 2015 and is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant. Holly is our expert on task development and cognitive stimulation. Holly specializes in working with patients in our brain rehabilitation program and manual physical therapy. Fred and Markus trained Holly in manual therapy. In her free time, Holly enjoys being active, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
Samantha Simmons, Office Manager
Samantha is the office manager at TurningPoint Medical Group. She has a wide variety of experience in administration and customer service. As you walk through the front door, Samantha is the warm face that greets you. She is the main point of contact for all scheduling matters. In her free time, Samantha enjoys horseback riding, playing with her dog, and time with friends and family.
Sarah Musgrave, Medical Technician
Sarah owns a BSc in Kinesiology and has been part of the TurningPoint family since November 2016. Sarah assists with TurningPoint’s qEEG/Neurofeedback, operating GyroStim and VNG diagnostics. When Sarah is not helping with training and brain mapping, she can be found assisting at the front desk. Outside of the office, Sarah enjoys being outdoors and going on adventures with her family.
Scott Hofer, Medical Technician
Scott has a BA in Exercise Science and has been part of TurningPoint since 2017. Scott is TurningPoint’s specialist in Exercise, qEEG/Neurofeedback and VNG diagnostics and GyroStim operater. When Scott is off work, he enjoys hiking, camping, spending time with family, and his dog.
Amanda Phillips, Medical Billing
Amanda is the medical billing specialist at TurningPoint Medical Group. She graduated from Independence University in January of 2017 with an associate of occupation studies with an emphasis in medical specialties, and is certified as an administrative assistant (CMAA). Amanda is fluent in Spanish and in her free time she enjoys hiking with her dog Bentley and spending quality time with family and friends.
Nikki Glorioso, Scheduling
Nikki is our expert in scheduling to find the earliest available spot for our patients … which is sometimes a real challenge. Nikki is also one of the friendly voices on the phone if you call us.
